Anthony Biancoviso’s white earthenware, wheel-thrown ceramic sculpture is sensual and serene in form. The surface treatment is unglazed, smoked, and sometimes burnished. They are low-fired in a small and sustainable wood burning kiln. This ancient finishing process maximizes the clay’s smooth and sesuous qualities, and accentuates the distinctive and natural qualities of earthenware clay.
