The Sullivan Catskills has a delicious mash-up of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, pubs, taverns, breweries, bars, inns, and more. Let’s put it this way; if you come here and you leave hungry, you did something wrong! It’s truly a foodie’s paradise with everything from farm-to-table, local delights, to classic American fare, to steakhouses, to Italian, to Mexican, and everything in between.

Catskill Cuisine
Taking place on May 13th, Catskill Cuisine is a festival filled with gourmet tastiness, celebrity chefs, music, cooking demonstrations, markets, and more. It takes place on the same grounds as the famous 1969 Woodstock festival, so you know there is a lot of space to fit in ALL the delicious bites and treats.
Catskill Cuisine is inspired by local flavors and ingredients and will include a huge variety of food options sourced from our very own farms, rivers, and forests. Visitors can immerse themselves in the culinary styles that have defined the Sullivan Catskills for generations. In addition to the great food and drinks, there will be live music, hands-on experiences, merchandise, and much more!
If you claim to be anything close to a foodie, or you just love delicious food, then you won’t want to miss the Catskill Cuisine Festival.
Hit the Craft Beverage Trail!
The Sullivan Catskills has a long history of creating flavorful wines, tasty ciders and meads, refreshing beers, and stimulating spirits. There are over a dozen craft breweries, cideries, distilleries, and wineries on the Craft Beverage Trail of the Sullivan Catskills. And while we won’t recommend that you attempt to visit them all in a single day, it’s worth making your way through the entire trail at a safe pace, so you can see what the entire region has to offer.
Here are just a few highlights from the Craft Beverage Trail:
Shrewd Fox Brewery – Pure, clean, local beer – that’s what you will find at Shrewd Fox Brewery. A local farm brewery serving up craft ales and lagers, they use all-natural, locally-grown and non-GMO ingredients. Even their barrel-aged recipes are brewed with New York State barley, hops and Catskills water.
Bashakill Vineyards – The first farm winery in the Sullivan Catskills, Bashakill Vineyards grows 100% organic grapes to produce rich cabernet francs, fruity, semi-sweet whites, bold merlots, and more. There is live music and tastings every Saturday and Sunday!
Do Good Spirits – An award-winning craft distillery and makers of Bootlegger 21 vodka, gin and bourbon. Do Good Spirits offers tastings, tours, retail spirits, and seasonal cocktails. They are an essential stop on the Craft Beverage Trail!
Support our local Sullivan County farmers’ markets!
When you’re surrounded by this many farms, vineyards, and other growers, you can’t not check out the local markets. There are many different Sullivan County farmers’ market options (check out the entire list here), but here are a couple of highlights:
Callicoon Farmers’ Market – Find everything from food producers to local artisans offering wine, ciders, pasta, prepared foods, baked goods, ice cream, honey, skin care products and more.
Liberty Farmers’ Market – An open-air market that offers local produce, meat, dairy, and prepared foods, along with live music and cooking demonstrations.
Narrowsburg Farmers’ Market – There’s no better place to be on a Saturday! Shop local vegetables, fruits, herbs, meats, cheeses, breads, pasta, wines, and more. Plus, there’s live music and demonstrations!
