Weekend Of Chamber Music
Homecoming, WCM’s 30th season, July 15th through the 30th, celebrates the festival’s pearl anniversary, as well as Caroline Stinson and Andrew Waggoner’s tenth year as artistic directors. In its venues, its programming, and its mix of old friends and new, WCM will take a fond look back while putting an adventurous foot forward. Featuring music of Beethoven; Brahms; Haydn; Ravel; the return of our first-ever composer in residence John Harbison (along with surprises from several other composer alums); new music from Andrew Waggoner; and guest artist, composer-saxophonist Steven Banks. Performing will be WCM’s beautiful, passionate family of artists, including Nurit Pacht; Mari Sato; Kathryn Lockwood; Caroline Stinson; and pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute, joined by alumnae performers Ensemble Accroche Note of France. Brilliant, Vivid, Intimate, the words we’ve lived by since 1994!
