Lark Honey Co.

Lark Honey Co. is a small batch family-owned honey bee farm at the foothills of the Southern Catskill Mountains in Mamakating, NY. Mike is originally from Sydney, Australia and his wife, Paula, is from California. They have two young children named Pearl and Goldie. Paula comes from a family of beekeepers starting with her grandpa Al and Uncle Pete, who have both inspired Mike and Paula to learn and care for bees themselves! Paula's Grandmother Eunice was an incredible oil painter and so they found it so much fun to bring art to the label! (artwork on label by Kate Donovan-Kristian @kidpaints !) As a kid Paula would watch her grandfather build beehives and also wood frames for her Grandma's oil paintings! We have loved expressing the beauty of art we create as humans as well as the beauty of beekeeping! Our bees visit a range of wildflowers at 3 different locations in Sullivan County! (making every batch unique!) Currently we have our hives on Hidden Acre Farm , Winterton Farms , as well as our home set on one acre with sprawling forests surrounding. Our honey is never heated and is always filtered once to keep the pure, nutritious, and raw goodness! ​
