The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is a national program showcasing the best in environmental and nature films, and Mountainkeeper has curated three days of special screenings that celebrate the natural world and speak powerfully to challenges facing the Catskills. These important and beautiful films tackle issues like the integrity of our rivers and drinking water safety; the health of our food and farms; and climate change impacts—and solutions.
In addition to three days of film screenings, the festival kicks off with a benefit cocktail dinner on Friday, and features fun activities like outdoor yoga, a guided foraging walk, and a student art show; a roundtable discussion with experts; a Q&A with director Jon Bowermaster, whose inspiring film “Seeds of Change” will be shown at the Saturday night screening; and a Saturday night after-party with live entertainment at the historic Western Hotel, where a portion of the bar proceeds will benefit Mountainkeeper.
If you find it tough to choose between all the terrific films and activities, you can buy an all-access festival pass for the entire weekend–including the Friday night benefit dinner and screening–for just $115. Tickets for individual screenings are $14, weekend film passes are $50, and a ticket for the special Friday night benefit dinner and screening only is $75. All of the proceeds will support Mountainkeeper’s work to protect this special part of the world, and build a more sustainable future for our families and communities.
