Plans include different guided walks along Sullivan County’s picturesque O&W Rail Trail and D&H Canal Trail throughout the Town of Mamakating and through the Village of Wurtsboro.
Free Admission! At checkout, you can add-on a suggested donation that will go towards event expenses, as well as a “Camping per Family” pass to camp at the Mamakating Little League Field Saturday night through Sunday morning.
Saturday Includes: Complimentary breakfast and guided/self-guided walks to-and-from the D&H Canal Interpretive Center. The walk to the Interpretive Center is approximately 6 miles one-way. Walking both-ways is approximately 12 miles total. A shuttle will be available for those who only want to walk 6 miles. Dogs are not allowed to be transported inside the shuttle.
Sunday Includes: Pancake breakfast at the Wurtsboro Firehouse (Pay at the door) and a guided walk along the O&W trail to visit the Mamakating Environmental Education Center. From there, particpants may choose to walk further south along the O&W trail. The walk to the Mamakating Environmental Education Center is approximately 3.5 miles, and to continue further south will be approximtely 5.5 miles total. A shuttle will be available for those who only want to walk 3.5 miles or for those who want to walk all 5.5 miles. Dogs are not allowed to be transported inside the shuttle.
