You've seen food trails, beer trails, wine trails, music trails and more — but what about a dove trail? This unique offering remembers the 1969 Woodstock festival and its impact on the Catskills. The trail includes 50 dove sculptures scattered throughout the region’s villages and tourist sites. The doves are all created by local artists and following the trail is a great way to get to know the area while also driving through some of the fall scenery.
We love all sorts of travels and adventures with the kids, but that doesn’t always mean hopping on a plane or taking a long road trip with chrouses of “are we there yet.” Luckily, there are tons of ways to have the best weekend ever in New York state with a family travel adventure to Kartrite Resort & Waterpark.
Thanks to its short distance from New York City, the Catskills have long been a tourism hotspot. And until recently—with towns like Woodstock, Phoenicia, and Tannersville considered some of the more popular destinations—it was the Eastern Catskills that received most of the glory. In addition, even further to the east, the thriving city of Hudson has stood as a major hub for a weekend jaunt with modern vibes and a bustling restaurant scene.
