Located just 90 minutes outside of NYC, Holiday Mountain will be constantly evolving over the next several years and has exciting things happening this season. Last year Holiday Mountain underwent a multi-million dollar renovation under new ownership to bring the ski area back to its glory days. This season, there will be a new Snow Sports Director introducing a new beginner trail, 125 new snow guns, a Quad trail lift, racing hill, new terrain-based learning and more. There are also plans to add cross country skiing within the next few years. Trails have been widened and lights have been added for night skiing. Lessons are available through their snowsports school as well as the latest in rental skis and snowboards, easily pre-booked online through their website. Located in the Sullivan Catskills, it’s an easily accessible option in the northeast. Lift tickets range from an affordable $60 – $75 with kids five and under free.
Ski Hill & Chalet at Villa Roma Resort offers guests skiing or snowboarding on their three slopes. Or take a thrilling ride down the snow tube runs, just a 5-minute shuttle ride from the resort. Equipment rentals and a chair lift are available, along with a ski school for kids and beginners.
