BACKGROUND: The Dove Trail program was launched in 2019 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the iconic Woodstock Festival and its legacy in peace, love and music. Each dove is hand painted by a talented local artist who is encouraged to use a 1969 color palette and draw inspiration from the works of artist Peter Max to commemorate the historic festival.
This initiative not only celebrates the anniversary of the legendary music festival, but also raises awareness of the rich history of the Sullivan Catskills, investing in tourism to our beautiful corner of New York State. ABOUT: The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SVCA) aims to promote and support the Sullivan County Catskills natural beauty, cultural richness and vibrant community. Through initiatives such as the Dove Trail Program, the goal of the SVCA is to encourage tourism to the area by showcasing our region’s unique history, remarkable attributes and local talent.
