About the Band:
Sullivan’s Hounds, also known as the Sullivan County chapter of the Irish Mutts, is a local extension of a band that’s been playing NYC’s extensive Irish circuit for the better part of the last two decades. Comprised of several multi-instrumentalists, the Hounds bring the authenticity of the Irish pub atmosphere without having to board a plane to the motherland. With classic rowdy tunes, traditional music, and some fun cover tunes that everyone loves, they’re sure to bring the festivities to the next level. Come sing along and have a pint with us!
March Craft Class: Custom Bandanna Stamping

In this class, we will be making bandannas with supplied stamps and multiple colors to choose from.
The goal is to think about simple motifs that can repeated throughout the 22x22in square. Kayleen used to be a print designer for Levi’s so you’ll be learning from the best!

About the Instructor:
Kayleen Berry, also known as “Kayleendaa,” is a Puerto Rican artist who is based in both rural Pennsylvania and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Her detailed line work, whether on canvas or paper, is emotionally charged; composed of intricately illustrated animals in a dream-like setting, toying with the concept of her subconsciousness. Her escapist style is bold and expressive, challenging her perception of reality. Her palette is comprised of saturated and ethereal hues, suggesting a hopeful and optimistic outcome. Under the surface, it’s showing signs of fragility, fear, and survival while simultaneously displaying a measure of calm.

Mark Monday, April 8th, 2024, on your calendar as “Solar Eclipse Day,” for if the weather is fair, you should have no difficulty observing a partial or even total eclipse of the sun from much of North America. Eclipses of the Sun and Moon are dramatic natural events which have been described in records going back for centuries in many civilizations. Ancient astronomers discovered certain cycles of occurrence of eclipses, which then allowed prediction. Accurate prediction could command power and prestige. In this presentation, we’ll examine the mechanics of what causes eclipses as well as how you can safely observe and enjoy this amazing astronomical event.
For 21 years (1995-2016) Joe Rao served as the Chief Meteorologist and Science Editor at News 12 Westchester and Hudson Valley. He retired from broadcasting in 2019, but since 1986, continued to be on staff as an Associate and Guest Lecturer at the Hayden Planetarium in Manhattan.
