Fun for Kids & Families

Hike to Witch Rock
Wednesday, October 25 • 5pm
Walnut Mountain Park • Liberty
Check out the infamous Witch’s Rock and learn the history of Walnut Mountain on a guided hike with Morgan Outdoors. Hike starts promptly at 5pm to take advantage of daylight and lasts approximately 1 hour. Wide carriage roads with moderate uphill grade. Bring flashlights or headlamps for walk back to parking lot. Town of Mamakating Halloween Party

Free family fun! Costume parade at 5:30pm, refreshments, haunted house, hay rides, bonfire, pumpkin patch, Halloween crafts, and more. Adults must accompany children (no drop-offs).

Fall Fun Day
Saturday, October 28 • 12-1:30pm
Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library • Monticello
Come for an afternoon full of activities. Dress as a scarecrow to take part in the scarecrow parade and win prizes, listen to a fall themed story and paint rocks to look like pumpkins, enjoy apple cider and donuts and get your face painted. There will also be a book sale, so stock up on some cozy reads for fall. This is a free program and registration is not required, but does help them plan for the event. Children’s Costume Parade
Saturday, October 28 • 1-4pm
Delaware Youth Center • Callicoon
The Delaware Youth Center sponsors a children’s costume parade down Main Street for the children in our community. Line up 12:45pm behind the Delaware Free Library, parade begins at 1pm. Games and treats at the Youth Center following the parade. For information call 845-887-5155.

Bethel Youth Halloween Parade, Party and Haunted House
Saturday, October 28 • 3-7pm
3460 State Route 55 • White Lake
For children up to age 10. Costume parade kicks off at 3:15pm. Refreshments and games follow. Haunted house for youth grades 2 to 5. Rain or shine.

Halloween at the Woods

Witchy art activities for all ages and a spooky scavenger hunt. Candy available (while supplies last) for all participants. At 2pm, enjoy a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas in the Museum Theater.

Tours begin at 6pm, last tour begins at 10pm.
