A summer morning of Contemporary Art Featuring Maya Shari's Latest Works
Jeffersonville, NY – Join us on August 3rd, 2024, at Ratty Books for the debut fine art exhibition of emerging artist Maya Shari. This event marks Maya Shari's first public art exhibition, showcasing a collection of contemporary works that explore the enchanted world of fantasy, magic, and imagination in a whimsical illustration style in watercolor with pen and ink.
The exhibition will feature 17 pieces, each reflecting Maya Shari's unique perspective and artistic journey through magical lands and encountering fantastical creatures. Maya Shari draws inspiration from nature, old world fairy tales, dreams, and animals, resulting in pieces that are whimsical and sweet, transporting the viewer to a land far, far away, maybe even back to their own childhood.
"I am thrilled to present my illustration work to the public for the first time," says Maya Shari. "This collection represents the joy of imagination and whimsy, no matter at what age. How did the frog find the wizard? What special powers does the unicorn have? Do all fairies live in mushrooms? We’ll never know if we don’t look deep inside and ask, and if we’re lucky, a story will emerge - that is what I am excited to share with the community.”
