Wedding Tip: For outdoor venues ensure your alternative indoor option is as satisfying as the outdoor option. And, outdoor weddings in prime season book early – try to plan your date at least one year in advance.
Beaverkill Valley Inn
Beaverkill Valley Inn specializes in memorable destination weekend weddings. Menus are unique and individually tailored by using the freshest ingredients from local farms. Chef Galen will work with you personally to create the event of your dreams. The Inn has 19 rooms which will be held for your family and friends, and all amenities are available for guest use including the private trout stream, indoor heated swimming pool, basketball court, fitness center, etc. Weddings of 50-250 are welcome year-round; indoor space is available for ceremonies, dancing and dining. In warmer seasons, ceremonies may be held outdoors in many locations on the grounds and meadows.
Wedding Tip: Choose your date and venue as soon as possible, everything else will fall into place once that is done. We suggest a tour, sample a meal and walk the grounds to understand what each venue can offer to make your destination wedding wonderful.
The Arnold House
If you are looking for a rustic country backdrop but don’t want to compromise on great local food for your dream wedding, The Arnold House may be just what you are looking for! They host weddings year-round and can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests. Located 2 hours north of NYC, this country retreat specializes in rustic barn and outdoor weekend weddings on their beautiful grounds with ceremonies in their meadows near the pond. They also offer cozy cold-weather affairs with roaring wood stoves and comfortable indoor seating. A dedicated and passionate team will make sure your wedding is a weekend to remember – full of memories amidst loved ones. Pricing in high season starts at $175 per person for the 2019 wedding season with no site fee inclusive of a 3-hour open bar.
Wedding Tip: Don’t forget to plan a lunch…with bubbles! As you get ready for the big day, be sure to snack. The Arnold House offers sandwich service and bottles of bubbles as you finish up makeup, hair and vows.
The North Branch Inn
With roots immersed in Americana history, the North Branch Inn is a hidden treasure just two hours North of NYC. Focusing on intimacy, romance and locally sourced menus, your wedding weekend will be one for the books with a multitude of one of kind backdrops, making you and your guests feel a world apart. Toast to cocktail hour in their lavish gardens and end the night in their handset wooden bowling alley dating back to the early 1900’s. Menus are carefully handcrafted and created for each season. Wedding Tip: When booking, see what the venue’s curfew is. You always want to make sure you get the most of your party and not be cut short. NBI likes to move their parties inside after 10pm for bowling & late night snacks.
The DeBruce
One of the last remaining hotels in our area to stand the test of time, The DeBruce was originally built in the 1880s and boasts decades of comfort soaked into her walls. She sits on a ledge overlooking the Willowemoc Valley and its namesake river in upstate New York’s Catskill Park two hours from NYC.
