The bank building at 93 Main Street in Narrowsburg has been transformed into the town’s first craft brewery and BBQ destination. Big Eddy Brewing Company, focused on fresh local ingredients and community spirit, shares the space with Smokd Barbecue, helmed by accomplished chef Jean Paul Medina.
JP Medina brings impressive culinary experience to Smokd, having worked at renowned establishments like BLT restaurants and Hill Country Barbecue Market. Most recently, he honed his craft at local favorites Callicoon Hills, The DeBruce, and The North Branch Inn. His journey from learning in his mother Nancy’s kitchen to launching Smokd reflects his passion for flavor, hospitality, and quality ingredients.
Led by brewmaster Jake Johnson and co-owned with his wife Alison and partners Caitlin and Tom Coacci, Big Eddy Brewing prides itself on being more than just a brewery – it’s designed as a community gathering spot serving craft beers, NY-made cider, wine, and craft cocktails. The casual, welcoming atmosphere in the converted bank building invites both locals and visitors to slow down and enjoy.
Together, these businesses add an exciting new dimension to Narrowsburg’s riverside dining scene, combining craft beverages and barbecue expertise in a welcoming space where food means comfort and community.
