Shelburne Theater Open House

Join the Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project for a special addition to their Ferndale historic marker dedication on Sunday, June 28! Before the ceremony, visitors will have a rare opportunity to tour the Shelburne Theater from 3:00–4:00 PM!

One of Ferndale’s last surviving Borscht Belt-era landmarks, the Shelburne Theater (also known as the Shelburne Playhouse) stands on the former site of the Shelburne Hotel and is not regularly open to the public.

Explore the building, take photographs and experience a rare piece of Catskills history. Light refreshments will be provided and donations to support preservation efforts are welcome, but not required.
