Bears are out & about in the Sullivan Catskills this spring & that’s a good thing. It means the season is alive. Just a few things to keep in mind when you’re out here.
If you spot one, stay calm, make some noise & give it space. Don’t run, don’t approach & never get between a mama bear & her cubs. And before you arrive, make sure garbage is stored inside or secured. Bears follow their noses & a little prevention goes a long way.
