About Us
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural center located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival.
As stewards of the National Register Historic site where three days of peace, love, and music defined a generation half a century ago, Bethel Woods carries on the legacy of 450,000 young people who gathered on Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, NY and left as a community determined to change the world for the better.
Since opening in 2006, the Center has welcomed more than three million guests, offering a diverse mix of performances, exhibits, festivals, and art programs to creatives of all ages. Experiences at Bethel Woods are designed to promote thoughtful reflection, fuel creativity, and inspire passion in all who visit.
