The Hound Books is Roscoe’s first independent bookstore. Known as Trout Town, USA, Roscoe is not only the birthplace of American fly fishing but also part of a region that inspired many nature writers. Located in the heart of Western Catskills, we take our inspiration from nature lovers John Burroughs and Walt Whitman whose literary appreciation of the region find new readers every year.
