NACL and Deep Water Lit Fest present Readings from THE OUTRAGE: A Queer Writers’ Residency

June 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free

It’s time once again for the outing of The Outrage, the third annual residency for queer writers at NACL, led by C. Julian Jiménez (Yulan, NY), who has assembled a cohort of remarkable artists to join him for a week of intensive writing and sharing, culminating in a public presentation of new works. 2026 artists include Jiménez, Jessica Charles, AZ Espinoza, Mark-Eugene Garcia, Francesca Pazniokas, reid tang, and Garrett Zuercher.

The Outrage was born out of a need for a space where queer writers can be in community, write, and share with one another for intentional and honest feedback. Queer writers are often faced with the challenge of explaining Queerness before receiving tangible notes. The Outrage is an environment for craft exploration providing a safe space for risk-taking and the flowering of imagination.

Saturday, June 20th, at 5:00pm, in association with the DEEP WATER LIT FEST, NACL invites audiences to the TUSTEN THEATRE in Narrowsburg, NY for a public reading of works developed during the residency.
