The Stinking Nose

The Stinking Nose is a performance starring GARLIC and three of its devoted acolytes. In an interactive theatrical and edible experiment, the trio explores hierarchies between cultures, species, and odors, led by garlic’s vegetal, political, alimentary, and olfactory cues.

The presentation will include cooking and sharing of food. The artists extend their invitation: “We’ll garden. And snack. And sniff. It’s going to stink. But so do we. And so do you.”

Saturday, November 14th, at 7:00pm, NACL invites audiences to witness a workshop presentation of a new iteration of this ongoing project. The artists Leonie Bell, Matt Korahais, and Brandon Woolf will be creating a new performance out of pre-existing elements along with newly developed material from their week at NACL. Conversation with the artists over shared garlicky delicacies will follow the presentation.
