We’re thrilled to announce that the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is partnering with the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club as a host site for their inspiring Backpacks for Hope program! The SCVA offices are accepting donations until Monday, August 19th.
What is Backpacks for Hope?
Backpacks for Hope is a vital initiative that helps foster brighter educational journeys for young minds in our community. This program collects backpacks and essential school supplies, distributing them to families before the new school year begins. It’s a powerful way for our community to come together and support the future of our young people in Sullivan County and Northern Orange County!
How You Can Help
From mid-July to mid-August, we’ll be collecting backpacks and school supplies at our SCVA offices, alongside other host sites. Your contributions will make a direct impact on local families, ensuring that more children start the school year prepared and confident.
The Impact
Last year, thanks to the incredible support from people like you, the Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club filled more than 230 backpacks with necessary school supplies. This year, we’re aiming to make an even bigger difference!
Education is the foundation of a bright future, and every child deserves the tools they need to succeed. By participating in Backpacks for Hope, we’re not just providing school supplies – we’re investing in the future of our young people.
Get Involved
Visit us at our offices located inside the Liberty Mall to drop off your donations. Every backpack, notebook, pen, or pencil contributes to a child’s success story.
Together, we can ensure that our children start the school year ready to learn, grow, and thrive. Join us in making a difference – one backpack at a time! Stay tuned for more updates on this wonderful initiative. Thank you for your support in making our community a better place for all.
