Liberty, NY — The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is thrilled to announce the
expansion of its beloved Legacy Dove Trail! In 2025, the Dove Trail will soar from 50 to an
impressive 80 Doves, creating new opportunities for community members to own a piece
of this cherished, large-scale public art initiative that celebrates the legacy and spirit of the
Catskills. Each Dove symbolizes the area’s rich cultural history and love for art, making this
expansion a milestone for the region.
How to Become Part of the Legacy Dove Trail
For $1,700, SCVA members in good standing can own one of these iconic Doves. This fee is
partially subsidized by SCVA and includes complimentary shipping, marketing, and
advertising services to support the Dove owners. Please note that artist fees and
installation costs are additional.
To be eligible, ownership is open exclusively to SCVA members (businesses, non-profits,
and municipalities). Private ownership is not permitted, ensuring that the Doves remain
community focused. Participating owners must follow established guidelines and sign a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to ensure the legacy and consistency of this
community initiative.
Each Dove sculpture stands approximately 7 feet long and 5 feet high and is a stunning,
lasting piece that enriches our region with beauty and history. The Dove Trail is one of the
largest county-wide public art trails in the country, drawing thousands of visitors and art
lovers each year.
