Club at Villa Roma | Callicoon, NY (Villa Roma Resort)

Set amid the rolling hills of Sullivan County in Callicoon, the Club at Villa Roma is widely regarded as home to some of the finest fairways and greens in the region. Designed by David Postlewaite and opened in 1985, this par-71 course winds across lush bent-grass terrain with strategic bunkering, undulating fairways and magnificent countryside views that make every round a visual treat as well as a challenge.

Sullivan County Golf & Country Club | Liberty, NY

A true community gem, Sullivan County Golf & Country Club in Liberty has been welcoming golfers since 1925. This thoughtfully maintained 9-hole course features alternating tees for a full 18-hole experience, offering a compelling and accessible round complete with stunning panoramic Catskill views and a fully renovated pro shop that reopened in 2019.

The Monster Golf Club | Monticello, NY (Resorts World Catskills) 

Perhaps the most celebrated course in the Sullivan Catskills, The Monster golf course at Resorts World Catskills is a championship experience unlike any other in the region. Originally designed by Joe Finger in 1963 and once ranked among Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses”, the Monster was completely reimagined with a $40 million redesign by the legendary Rees Jones in 2023, combining the best holes from the original Monster course and the adjacent Old International Course.

Roscoe Mountain Club | Roscoe, NY

Sullivan County’s oldest golf course, the Roscoe Mountain Club occupies a dramatic setting on more than 1,000 acres at the highest point in the Sullivan Catskills, offering panoramic views of up to 60 miles on a clear day. Redesigned in 1952 by noted architect Alfred H. Tull in collaboration with golf legend Sam Snead, this historic championship course has earned recognition as one of “America’s 25 Friendliest Public Golf Courses”.

Tarry Brae Golf Course | South Fallsburg, NY

Tarry Brae is a public 18-hole championship course long considered one of the Sullivan Catskills’ most challenging and rewarding layouts. Designed by William F. Mitchell, ASGCA and opened in 1958, the course is known for its elevation changes, tree-lined fairways and some of the most demanding par-3 holes in the region. A stunning view of Echo Lake greets players on the 6th hole, and five sets of tees make the course accessible to golfers of all levels.

Lochmor Golf Course | Lock Sheldrake, NY 

A sister course to Tarry Brae and managed by the Town of Fallsburg, Lochmor Golf Course offers a distinct and equally rewarding experience in the Sullivan Catskills. Also designed by William F. Mitchell, ASGCA and opened in 1958, Lochmor winds over hilly terrain alongside beautiful Morningside Lake, with holes 14 and 15 playing right along the water. The Town of Fallsburg has invested over $1 million in irrigation upgrades, ensuring consistently excellent course conditions throughout the season.

Twin Village Golf & Winter Park | Roscoe, NY

One of the oldest courses in the Sullivan Catskills, Twin Village Golf & Winter Park is a beloved 9-hole executive course that has been delighting golfers since 1925. Situated in a valley between the mountains and managed by the Town of Rockland, this approachable layout is perfect for beginners while remaining fun and challenging for experienced players. The course operates year-round, and its location directly across the street from the Roscoe Beer Company makes it a natural choice for a relaxed day out on the links.
