Golf season is back in the Catskills, and Sullivan County Golf Club in Liberty is your first stop.
The 9-hole public course is about as unfussy as golf gets. Play in jeans, bring your dog, and eat and drink at Otto’s while you’re there. Fellow owner & operator Tom Coyne just released a NYT bestselling book about saving the course, A Course Called Home, which tells you everything you need to know about what kind of place this is.
Hot tip: If you want to play outside of open hours, drop $25 at the pro shop door and walk on anyway.
