Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association Honored with Excellence in Tourism Marketing Award by the New York State Tourism Industry Association
(July 3, 2024 – Sullivan Catskills, NY)– The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is thrilled to announce that we have been honored with the Excellence in Tourism Marketing Campaigns, Projects & Programs: Innovations & Strategies to Address New/Unique/Changing Markets Award by the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) for our Catskill Cuisine campaign.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Roberta Byron-Lockwood, President and CEO of the SCVA. “Catskill Cuisine was designed to celebrate the rich culinary heritage and innovative food scene of our region. This recognition emphasizes the hard work and creativity of our team and the remarkable contributions of our local chefs, farmers, and food artisans.”
Catskill Cuisine took place earlier this Spring from May 10th -12th in partnership with Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Through this initiative, the SCVA hosted an immersive event highlighting the distinct, vibrant, and delicious food culture of the Sullivan Catskills region and beyond! This initiative took inspiration from our local farmers, and restaurants, while also hosting several A-List Celebrity Chefs including Anne Burrell, Scott Conant, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Symon, Geoffrey Zakarian and many others.
The “Catskill Cuisine” campaign employed a multifaceted approach to marketing, incorporating digital storytelling, social media engagement, and partnerships with local businesses. Through vibrant visuals, engaging content, and immersive experiences, the campaign successfully attracted a diverse audience, encouraging them to explore the unique flavors and culinary traditions of the Sullivan Catskills.
