September 11
Communities across Sullivan County come together to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to recognize the first responders and military personnel who serve. Services are held throughout the day at locations across the county:
- 8:00 AM lineup / 8:30 AM service — Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department, 181 Ballard Road, Mongaup Valley
- 8:45 AM — Liberty Elementary School, 201 North Main Street, Liberty
- 6:00 PM — Town of Liberty, LaPolt Park Stage, North Main Street, Liberty
- 6:00 PM — Town of Highland, Heroes Park, Eldred
- 6:45 PM lineup — Wurtsboro Fire Department & American Legion Mamakating Post 1266, 54 Pine Street, Wurtsboro
- 7:00 PM — Monticello Fire Department, 23 Richardson Avenue, Monticello
